Among the Beatitudes which Jesus taught was one which said, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." The world in which we live does not have a lot of time for the "meek," but rather an admiration for the strong. There are only two people mentioned in the Bible as "meek"personalities, Moses ( Numbers 12:3) and Jesus, but neither was a pushover. In fact, they were quite strong personalities. Perhaps their secret was to not overreact. How many people wish they had a better handle on how they react when they encounter difficult situations. The message on Sunday will share five biblical strategies to better handle our reactions when we encounter stressful situations.
