FCCN Sunday Service Preview - "Never Give Up!"

September 16, 2018

Dear Friends,
How often have you been tempted to "throw in the towel," a term that has often been used in boxing when one competitor gives up.  By "throwing in the towel, he means h  e's giving up.  The paradigm is most true to life when for whatever reason, people give up. The textbook biblical example of a person who started out in his faith with resolve only to eventually quit was one of Paul's companions by the name of Demas.  He is mentioned only three times in the Bible in a graphical order: "Demas, my fellow workman," "Demas," and "Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world."  Wow!  Does that sound familiar?  How many people begin their Journey of Faith with all good intentions, only to falter by the wayside when the going gets tough or they are attracted by something that seems more appealing. Those who have changed the world are people who never gave up. The message is simple: Don't be a quitter!

A Note of Gratitude
Many thanks to Curt Robidoux for the extensive work done around the church, including power washing the roof, walls, windows, walkways, parking lot, sign, and fencing.  Curt is a most dedicated worker and when expressions of gratitude come his way, he simply says, "It's my church and I love it!"
