“It’s always too early to quit.” ~ Norman Vincent Peale
Our church flows with fellowship opportunities. New-comers are quickly assimilated into the life of the congregation and made to feel right at home among friends. Whether the church is having a fellowship pot luck dinner, gathering for lunch-about after church, or just sharing a cup of coffee after church, people find our fellowship opportunities warm and welcoming. FCCN could best be described as “one big happy family” as people feel connected with one another through opportunities for fellowship.
A coffee hour follows every Sunday Morning Worship Service as friends gather to share smiles, time together, and reflect upon topics of interest. The coffee hour began while the church was still meeting in Pelican Marsh School and has become a centerpiece for getting to meet new friends and catching up with things in the lives of old friends.
Each Sunday a group of friends gather for lunch at one of the area restaurants. You are welcome to be a part of this fun group enjoy food and time together. Some of the restaurants chosen are Applebee’s, Jason’s Deli, Ruby Tuesday’s, Bob Evans, Rib City, and other moderately priced eatery’s to accommodate anyone’s budget that would like to be a part of Lunch-about. Simply speak with one of the greeters or ushers who will direct you to the sign-up person for the day.
Pot Luck Lunches and Dinners
What is church without a pot luck dinner? Everyone loves the comfort food and it is always in abundance at one of our many pot luck dinners. Watch the church calendar for the next one as one will be coming up soon! Oh, by the way, some of our pot luck events have such entertainment as a Blue Grass Band or special musical entertainment.
