Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has many--not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.
Music is a most important part of worship and the life of a church. Martin Luther said, “The devil flees at the sound of music almost as much as the word of God.”
The mission of the music ministries at First Congregational Church of Naples is to serve its congregation and the community through the sharing of the gospel in song. We invite you to come visit with us at our rehearsals on Wednesday evenings. Contact the church office for more information on how you can join the music ministries.
The Chancel Choir sings throughout the year and offers special music at various times during the year such as Christmas Eve. The choir meets for rehearsal each Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM and offers a variety of music from classical Christian anthems to contemporary music. The choir is led by well-trained professional musicians who focus not only on the pieces sung, but who offer voice training to choir members.
Pre-Service music is offered by area artists or the church soloists. People gather for several minutes to listen to the gifted musicians (harpist, violinist, flutist, piano, trumpet, guitar, vocal) and prepare themselves for the upcoming worship.
Vocalists We are very proud of our highly trained vocalists who offer beautiful solos or ensembles of music to enhance the service with inspiration. We love the musical selections as our soloists seem to always choose pieces people love to hear
Children’s Choir Children love to sing and we believe they should be given an opportunity to express the joy of their faith in music. Nothing inspires a congregation (or parents) more than to hear the children sing. We have just recently began a Children’s Cherub choir that meets every Wednesday Evening at 6:00pm. All children are welcome to participate and they will have a chance to perform during church services.
